We Love Grandpa Walker

As most kids probably do, Mia LOVES books. (So does Crew.) Mia loved hearing Grandpa Walker tell her stories.

Neighborhood Easter Party

Every year our HOA puts on an Easter party. This year, these are a few of the things that were included.

- a train ride around the parking lot and a nearby street

- a petting zoo. There were separate pens for the little and big kids (the big kids area had bigger animals). Crew was SO excited about the animals.

Crew checking out the animals and DYING to touch them. He was so excited.

There were the cutest little dyed chickens that the kids could hold and pet. They were blue and pink and green and yellow. So cute!! There were also baby goats, bunnies, chickens and guinea pigs. They let you in to the pen with some food and you could feed the animals. I wonder how many little baby chicks got loved to death. There was hardly any supervision and the kids could just come pick up a baby chick. I saved a few from being squeezed to death. Poor things. Mia and Crew both loved feeding the animals and getting to hold and pet them. Mia was so excited to hold one by herself.

-The Easter egg hunt. More of a mad dash.

Crew picked up a few eggs but he was more interested in pulling the eggs out of other kids' baskets. That didn't go over so well, obviously. :)

Easter 2010

Easter 2010 was wonderful. We had Shawn's dad in town and it was so fun to have some family in town for a holiday. Mia and Crew loved their time with Grandpa Walker. He spoiled them with their Easter outfits and spoiled us with a fancy Easter dinner which puts to shame anything that I cook. He also took us out to eat all weekend. (Combine that with the all of the Easter candy packages I felt justified in eating and a good 5 pounds of hard work became undone! I FINALLY just got off the last pound TODAY - ask me if all that eating was worth it. Hmmm, think of all of that chocolate, including Chris's Outrageous Chocolate Cake from Cheesecake Factory ... it's pretty darn close to worth it.)

Here are all the Easter photos ...
